Team #10 - Proudly Mounted

4 years ago I bought my first horses, Akiledou and Chingko. They are both 7 year old geldings and have taught me so much about horses. We love to do tricks together and we are learning to ride together. My goals for this summer are to practice riding and getting in shape to go on day-long or weekend-long trail rides. There are also lots of new tricks I would like to teach my horses and there is a lot of work to be done to perfect and maintain old tricks! This Derby will certainly allow me to see just how many hours I spend with my horses each week and will motivate me to work even harder and learn more about myself and my horses.

I’m Cyndi Morin from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I have a 12 year old Chestnut Curly Gelding. I got him at 9 years old and trained him myself. We are Level 4 Parelli Graduates. We do mostly long distance trail riding but I have 3 saddles, English, Western and Endurance and we use all 3! We jump, we do precision riding, X-country. We do Extreme Cowboy and I pony my kids on their ponies from him. We ride long distance trails – up to 25 miles. He is green broke to drive. And, he is a trick horse! We both enjoy doing all sorts of tricks! He is a great horse, super temperament and I’m hoping to have a fantastic season with him – continuing to use all 3 saddles!

I'm Janeen Radtke and I have 2 extreme Curlies, Corky and Shine! Corky is 12 years old and is a great riding partner! We do lots of trail riding and sometimes mess around with speed events, just for fun. Shine will be 2 on April 15th and has been with me since September of 2015. He has a natural tendency for tricks, so that's what we work on the most! I hope to take Shine to the local shows for socializing and there are some indoor trail challenges that Shine and I can do in hand this summer to help build our partnership! While all my horses are special in one way or another, my Curlies are the best!
