Sassy is an eleven year old Curly Mare. She enjoys target training, trail riding and dressage. On her down time she loves spending lazy afternoons grazing in the Goldilocks Manor's pastures.Karma is four year old curly filly. She loves learning about ground work and target training. In her down time she loves making her hooves dance in the pastures. Taking naps and having her tummy rubbed.

Our family has 2 curly boys, Larry and Marley. Larry loves to trail ride and go camping. Marley likes to hit the trails too but I also use him for search and rescue, working security, and a few parades for the local sheriffs department. My goals for both myself and the boys is spend more time with them now that I am back healthy and they are back home with me. After almost 2 years off we all could benefit from some extra work.

Team Sitruunalaku is Eeva Feirikki and Yuma from Finland. Yuma is six years old gelding and we have just started our fifth year together. I have recently started study Straightness Training Mastery, and the riding is 1/5 of working with a horse so, I'm really happy about this Derby it fits perfectly to this stage of Yumas and my life. We have also other curly Apache, with whom I sometimes do something.

I Love my Curlies! I have been riding horses since I was 5. I got my first Curly, "Curly" Show Name: Izzy Mine several years ago. He is the greatest. Curly is 9, Black, and came from the Sand Stream Curly Farm. Remington, "Remmy", the Sorrel is my second Curly, and he is 2. Remmy came from Hidden Cave Ranch. Curly and Remmy think they are Twins, and they are just from another mother and worlds apart. They both have pedigree back to "Copper D". They are very much part of the family!

I have two of these incredible Curly horses. Feefer is the sorrel with the blonde mane n' tail and she is gaited. She will be 21 years old this year and has a fantastic loving personality! Teke is the bay and this year she will be 14 years old. She is VERY smart and also has a great personality. I ride for fun and for the sense of enjoyment and love for these horses. But I also love to compete in local shows.

I was born horse crazy and grew up on a beef farm. For most of my childhood there were horses around but Linus is the first horse that is truly mine! I met him when he was 3 months old and he will turn 7 this year. My husband is allergic to horses (and most things!) so that is how I came across Linus.

Raising and training him has been a wonderful experience. He's definitely that "once in a lifetime" horse for me. Together we have done parades, charity costume rides, the RAC and many trail rides.

I broke my ankle earlier this year and am slowly getting back to riding. My goal for the derby will be to achieve the ribbon as I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do!!

I've been riding horses awhile, but have just recently been exposed to Curly Horses! I'm so excited for this opportunity to work with these awesome animals and learn more about them- as well as myself and my horsemanship skills. I began my horse career in the Hunter/Jumper ring and have recently switched over to Dressage. I will be a first year Audiology student at Central Michigan University throughout this competition and can't wait for all the opportunities to come! I will be working with the awesome horse "WWW One Curly Drifter" AKA "Drifter". We have just begun our relationship and I can't wait to see where this competition will take us!

I have been riding for the majority of my life and I primarily do jumping and dressage. I am currently a full-time graduate student going for my Master of Social Work, at Michigan State University. I have been working Georgia since October of 2015, and she has come so far! We have been working on her canter lately, as well as getting her more round at the trot. We have jumped before, and she seemed to love it! I hope to win this derby! I am planning on showing Georgia in some local open shows, as well as a Dressage show! I also hope to ride her at least once a week, and hopefully more once I graduate Grad School.

I started eventing with my gelding Theo 3 years ago and recently retired him. My mare and younger gelding will be filling his spot going forward. I will have a busy summer with riding my young horse Duke and keeping Theo moving still. Jane my mare will be going to competitions all summer and I hope Duke will make it to a Dressage show by the end of the year for entry level. Lots of trail rides and maybe some camping could get thrown in there as well. It should be a great summer!

I am a 24 year old with a bachelors of science in equine studies and a certification in equine sports massage therapy. Kai is a curly mustang filly that I adopted from the BLM in April of 2015. My goals with this derby include building up a solid foundation of ground work for later training. This will include desensitization, leading, tying, lunging, picking up and holding feet,round penning, introduction of new tack, and some at liberty work.

4 years ago I bought my first horses, Akiledou and Chingko.  They are both 7 year old geldings and have taught me so much about horses.  We love to do tricks together and we are learning to ride together.  My goals for this summer are to practice riding and getting in shape to go on day-long or weekend-long trail rides.  There are also lots of new tricks I would like to teach my horses and there is a lot of work to be done to perfect and maintain old tricks!  This Derby will certainly allow me to see just how many hours I spend with my horses each week and will motivate me to work even harder and learn more about myself and my horses.

I’m Cyndi Morin from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  I have a 12 year old Chestnut Curly Gelding.  I got him at 9 years old and trained him myself.  We are Level 4 Parelli Graduates.  We do mostly long distance trail riding but I have 3 saddles, English, Western and Endurance and we use all 3!  We jump, we do precision riding, X-country.  We do Extreme Cowboy and I pony my kids on their ponies from him.  We ride long distance trails – up to 25 miles.  He is green broke to drive.  And, he is a trick horse!  We both enjoy doing all sorts of tricks!  He is a great horse, super temperament and I’m hoping to have a fantastic season with him – continuing to use all 3 saddles!

I'm Janeen Radtke and I have 2 extreme Curlies, Corky and Shine!  Corky is 12 years old and is a great riding partner!  We do lots of trail riding and sometimes mess around with speed events, just for fun.  Shine will be 2 on April 15th and has been with me since September of 2015.  He has a natural tendency for tricks, so that's what we work on the most!  I hope to take Shine to the local shows for socializing and there are some indoor trail challenges that Shine and I can do in hand this summer to help build our partnership!  While all my horses are special in one way or another, my Curlies are the best!
